Lafayette Engineering: warehouse control systems
- Outcome
- The systems run at multiple customer sites. Lafayette says we hit every milestone and calls our support rock solid.
Ignyte Software builds and modernizes the software businesses run on. We replace spreadsheets and aging databases, connect the systems you already use, and build the tools you can't buy. AI helps us move quickly, our core team reviews every change, and you own all the code.
Tell us which of these four problems sounds like yours.

"Ignyte built our QuickQuote application, and it changed how our agents work. Quotes that used to take a call to the office now happen on the spot, accurately, every time. We couldn't be happier with it."
"Ignyte planned, built, and now supports custom Warehouse Control Systems for us across multiple customer sites. They learned our industry fast, hit every milestone, and their support has been rock solid."
"CheckPoint sped up and simplified check-in at our conferences dramatically. Lines that used to wrap around the registration desk are gone, and our attendees loved the new experience."
We learn how your business works before we design anything. Our client work so far covers warehouse control systems, insurance quoting, and conference check-in for a national association. See our work for manufacturing and warehouse operations.
Small businesses. You don't need an IT department to get software that fits. We start with how your business works, scope the smallest useful version, and give you a clear estimate. Choose a fixed price with set milestones, or pay as the work evolves. After launch, we support what we built, and the code is yours if you ever want to take it elsewhere.
Operations teams at larger companies. You own a process, and the software behind it is slowing it down. We work with your team and your IT group to fix that. We document what we build, keep it in source control, and release changes in steps that can be rolled back. You talk to the owners and engineers doing the work. There are no account managers or handoffs.
Small on purpose. The people who own Ignyte do the work, and our core team reviews every change. You always know who is building your software. We're based in Lexington, KY, meet clients on-site across Central Kentucky, and work with businesses nationwide remotely.
Meet the team behind the workMost of what we build runs on .NET and SQL Server. They are proven platforms with long support lives, and they are easy for your team or a future vendor to maintain. We work with the systems you already have. When a project needs a different tool, we use it or tell you plainly if someone else is a better fit.
Most of our work runs inside other companies' operations: warehouses, insurance agencies, and national conferences. Here is some of it.

Running our own software for years taught us what it takes to keep a system working long after launch. Top25Rankings.com has run a weekly data pipeline since 2000.

Every project starts with how your business works today. You see working software at regular demos, not a big reveal at the end. See how a project works, step by step.
The questions buyers actually ask us, answered plainly.
We build and modernize custom software for businesses: web and desktop applications, integrations between the systems you already use, databases and reporting, and replacements for spreadsheets and aging systems. We work with small businesses and with operations teams at larger companies across the United States.
Yes. Many projects start small, such as one spreadsheet process or one integration. We scope the smallest version that solves the problem and give you a clear estimate before any work begins.
The owners. Ignyte is a small firm, and the people who own it do the work. There are no account managers or handoffs, and our core team reviews every change.
It depends on the workflow and the systems involved. A new project starts with a paid Workflow & AI Review. It ends with three priced options and a fixed-price offer for a first version, and the review fee is credited toward the build. We also offer time-and-materials engagements for long-running work.
Timelines depend on scope. A focused tool or integration takes far less time than a full application, and the review ends with a schedule for the first version. Our process delivers working software iteratively, so you see progress at regular demos rather than waiting for a big-bang launch.
We pick the technology that fits the problem. Most of our work runs on .NET and SQL Server because those platforms are well supported and easy to maintain. We also work with the systems and tools you already have. If something isn't the right fit for us, we'll tell you honestly.
Yes. We're based in Lexington, KY and work with clients nationwide. We meet nearby clients on-site around Lexington and Central Kentucky, and discovery, demos, and delivery all work smoothly as remote engagements.
Yes. We move aging applications, Access databases, and spreadsheet-based systems to current, supportable platforms, and we take over software that a previous vendor or developer left behind. A takeover starts with a Production-Readiness Review.
