Software That Keeps Working

Ignyte Software care plans keep business software running after launch. We apply security patches and updates, monitor the system, fix defects in the code we wrote, and reply to every request within one business day. Our core team reviews every change, and you keep the code and accounts.

Two Plans

Every plan is scaled to the software it covers. You get the terms in writing before you sign.

Essential

Security patches and dependency updates on a set schedule. Monitoring. Fixes for defects in code we wrote. A reply to every request within one business day, during business hours.

Plus

Everything in Essential, plus a monthly block of time for small changes and regular planning reviews, so the software keeps up as your business changes.

In every plan

  • Our core team reviews every change before release.
  • Where we host the software, we run the backups and test them by restoring them.
  • Requests go to the owners who lead the work. No account managers, no handoffs.
  • The code and accounts stay yours.

What We Promise

We commit to how fast we respond. Fixing depends on the cause.

A problem can start in our code, in a third-party service, or in your own network. We cannot promise how long every fix will take, so we do not. We promise a reply within one business day, continued work on serious problems during coverage hours, and updates until a fix or workaround is in place.

Not included

  • New features or projects bigger than the plan's monthly time. We quote those separately.
  • Outages in third-party services, such as cloud providers or systems we connect to. We help you diagnose them.
  • Data entry, data cleanup, and other manual business tasks.
  • Problems caused by changes someone else made to the software.

Software We Keep Running

We support what we build, for years.

Client work

Lafayette Engineering: warehouse control systems

System
Custom warehouse control systems that Lafayette Engineering runs at multiple customer sites.
Problem
Lafayette needed control software built for each customer's operation, and a partner who would keep supporting it after go-live.
What we did
We planned and built the systems to Lafayette's milestones, and we still support them today.
Outcome
The systems run at multiple customer sites. Lafayette says we hit every milestone and calls our support rock solid.
"Ignyte planned, built, and now supports custom Warehouse Control Systems for us across multiple customer sites. They learned our industry fast, hit every milestone, and their support has been rock solid."
Jason Kim, Project Manager, Lafayette Engineering Inc.

Software We Didn't Build

Software someone else built joins a care plan after a Production-Readiness Review.

Production-Readiness Review

For software you already run. You get a scored report on access control, data, backups, security, and how easy the software is to change, a risk list with recommended fixes, three priced options, and a fixed-price offer for the next step. Fee credited toward the build.

See Software Rescue & Takeover for how we take a system over, or every step, from the free call to a care plan.

If You Leave

You are never locked in. When a plan ends, you get what you need to run the software or hand it to someone else.

  • The latest source code, with every change from the plan, in your repository.
  • A list of accounts, services, secrets, certificates, and domains, with who owns each one.
  • An updated runbook for deployment, monitoring, backups, and known issues.
  • The status of every open request.

We commit to how fast we respond, and we put that in writing. Fixing depends on the cause, which may sit in a third-party service or your own network. We keep working on serious problems during coverage hours and keep you updated until a fix or workaround is in place.

Care plans cover business hours. We say that plainly rather than promise round-the-clock support a small team cannot staff. Your plan states in writing what monitoring covers and how we respond outside those hours.

Yes, after a Production-Readiness Review. The review shows us what we would be taking on and tells you what needs fixing first.

Yes. When a plan ends, you get the latest source code in your repository, a list of accounts, services, secrets, and domains with their owners, an updated runbook, and the status of any open requests.
